ALL IN - For the Community

Click below to watch a video from one of our Volunteer Leaders, Jeanette Davis, as she explains how simple storage space is a barrier to provide MORE food to MORE children who are in need right here in our own community. It’s simple...MORE storage means helping MORE children.

40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ - Matthew 25:40 (ESV)

In this parable, Jesus told his disciples that by serving those in need we are, in turn, serving Jesus himself. That is astonishing when you stop to think about it...we actually have the opportunity to serve the One who served us by giving His life!

What that means is we get to serve Jesus in many small but significant ways. We serve Him when we take a meal to someone who is sick, or when we pull out our own wallets to help someone in line at the grocery store when they find themselves short by a dollar or two or when we serve children of Hilton Head Island by filling a backpack with non-perishable food.

As it stands right now, HHICC has run out of room to store canned good and other backpack supplies to help more children. By securing Building B, we solve that problem. Not only will it provide ample space for HHICC and our partners to spread out and organize community efforts, but a large part of Building B will be dedicated to providing storage for many of our community partners just like Backpack Buddies.

Imagine what could happen in our community if we were able to partner with Backpack Buddies to feed EVERY child on the free or reduced lunch program. When that happens we can, to a greater degree, meet the physical and spiritual need of the “least of these” around us.

Celebration of Life Service for Frank Conder

Posted by Cynthia Cullen on 12/19/17 @ 3:16 PM

Our dear friend, Frank Conder, passed from this life to his home in Heaven on Tuesday afternoon after a long battle with cancer. We invite you to join us as we celebrate his life on Friday, December 22 at 10:00am in our Worship Center. A Memorial & Inurnment will follow at 11:00a at Christ Lutheran Church (located at 829 William Hilton Pkwy, across the street from HHICC).

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to three organizations. 1- Hilton Head Island Community Church for kids and students to attend summer camps. Make checks payable to HHICC and in the memo, please write "scholarships." 2 - Hilton Head Heroes or  3 - Christ Lutheran's Preschool Fund.
